Real Love Conference for Teens

Saturday October 14, 9 AM – 2 PM

Sunday, October 15, 11 AM – 1 PM

Grades 7-12

Description of the Conference

The focus of the REAL LOVE conference is to speak to teens about the importance of having God as the center of their lives and of allowing Him to keep their minds, hearts, and bodies pure.

Saturday we will discuss God being the center of the relationship between a husband and wife. We will discuss what makes a good marriage. Teens will learn about the importance of abstinence and what the Bible says about relationships before marriage.

During breakout sessions (boys and girls will attend separate sessions), we will answer questions about misconceptions when it comes to dating and sexual relationships before marriage. Focus will be placed on keeping our hearts, minds, and bodies pure.

At the end of the Saturday’s session, students will have an opportunity to make a promise to abstain from sex until marriage. The teens will receive cards as a reminder of their commitment.

In the Infusion Youth Sunday Service, we will focus on sexual purity and recap what was discussed on Saturday.

Guest Speakers: Eddie and Valerie Allen

Eddie and Valerie are going on 15 years of marriage. They enjoy taking dance lessons and have received great marriage advice from their time on the dance floor. They thought they’d have things figured out by now but it’s taken them 15 years to realize that Real Love is hard work. But having Real Love and holding on to it, is worth the work! They have 5 kids that are a constant reminder of God’s grace. Eddie has led the men’s ministry at Life Church while Valerie has led the women’s ministry. Eddie’s passion is mentoring the younger generation of men to pursue God and His plans for their lives. Valerie’s goal is to encourage women to connect with Jesus and one another. Their experience in leadership has given them great insight into relationships and what successful marriages are made of while still learning how to walk in Real Love.

Students MUST have a permission slip signed by their parent/guardian.  For more information, contact Eric Hickman at (404) 348-6015 or
